Piano lessons

Since I started taking piano lessons when I was seven years old, it's been one of the best experiences of my life. I place a strong emphasis on technical improvement, music literacy, and a calm physical posture when I teach piano. For beginners, I frequently utilize the Faber Piano Adventures books as we study both popular and classical piano literature. Both youngsters and adults who study with me grow confident readers of music; they no longer play by rote or struggle note by note. The majority of my students are beginning or intermediate level, and I particularly enjoy teaching adult novices. I think it's an honor to teach piano to others!

As my students can attest, I am incredibly sensitive and adaptable when it comes to changing my strategy to suit different needs. My objective is to assist each student become a confident, blossoming musician, whatever that means for the individual.

Voice lessons

In my work as a voice instructor, I begin with the fundamentals of excellent singing—body placement, breathing, and tone development—and then incorporate these with knowledge of aesthetic and musical interpretation. I impart a sound, unforced vocal technique based on up-to-date research and a thorough understanding of voice anatomy and physiology. I collaborate with students on a variety of musical genres, including musical theater, current music, and classical repertoire. They have a variety of objectives, including joining choirs, singing in musical theater, performing their own music, getting ready for college conservatory auditions, honing professional-level technique, healing from vocal injuries, or simply appreciating the beauty of singing. My voice students range from beginners to working professionals.
